What does BYU add? Solid program, but it's not like BYU rakes in the cash. And why take the middle class of the Mountain West and not TC friggin U?

If I were ESPN, this would be a smart move.
If you are going to give big money out to keep FOX away, challenge their newly acquired Denver market and soon to be acquired Salt Lake City market. (I mean, we all know that PAC-10 won't sit at 11. They'll take Utah.)

I would be shocked if Air Force could carry the Denver market. I think Colorado State would have been the smarter play. In a BCS conference, there is no reason they couldn't be what CU has been over the past 15 years.

IF espn is in charge (and this is a big if and an assumption that they are reporting this as truth), then TCU doesn't add value to the Big XII. Plain and simple. If TCU plays UT, Dallas sets would already be tuned in to watch UT. If Air Force plays UT, those tv sets in Denver that might be on Fox, are now on ABC to watch UT.

When it's all said and done, no matter who the Big XII adds, they will still be inferior to the SEC and will make less money now
people did not care about CU and Nebraska that much, now they really wont care about Air Force and BYU

What CU has been over the past 15 years isn't much.
CSU brings nothing to the table. A bad football team and a half empty 34,000 seat stadium.

What a band-aid and a crappy one at that. This conference is just a joke. Neb. was getting better (and actually won the BIG12 cahmp game) so UT forms a plan to get rid of them...add two auto W's in the north - and voila - we're back in the big game. A&M will lose all of my respect if they don't see this for what it really is and bolt as fast as they can to the SEC.
