Helps with basketball but doesn't add much for football. A bit surprised at this move by the ACC.

NY and Pa, monster populous states, alumni in their major metros, excellent educational schools, expands ACC from Sunshine state all the way up the Eastern Seaboard(which is major hunk of US population) to the Canadian border.

the Big East is falling apoart on the day its founder, Dave Gavitt passed away. Sad.

Papers up here reporting Rutgers and UConn also to the ACC. Rutgers would crawl on their knees for this.

Acc knows they will never get the big tv contract like sec as their football will never be on the same level. But they can get the huge tv contact by creating a true super conference for basketball and use that to leverage contact for football as well.

That's what I'm thinking. SEC should snatch them up. Good football and baseball teams. Add WVU and who?

wouldnt mind addin them to the SEC. would add some new tvs from the DFW market, good football, good baseball. i think itd be a good move. add them along with aTm, wv, and ou (not likely but still) then send aubbie to the east. wouldnt be a bad looking conference...

It sort if kind of works if there's a division with them, TT, OU, OSU and the Arizona Schools.

I get Pitt and Syracuse, but what does Rutgers bring to the table for the ACC?

If the ACC goes to 16, who else are they poaching? A team would never leave the SEC or Big10 for the ACC, so it's Big East/CUSA/MAC. There are probably feelings that WVU is going SEC, so that leaves Rutgers and UConn as teams not in states the SEC is already in (sorry Louisville, USF)

Why is this fact? I think the SEC should take them.

At least a little. It's the only BCS conference when heading west while Texas would have to fly over SEC or B1G territory to get to the ACC.
