STFU and quit your bitching. It's done. Get over it and yourself. If it's too far for your pansy arse to drive then stay home.

They sucked your cock?

You do realize that LSU send quite a few students to A&M every year for post grad, right?

We have a winner.

Why do people fail to grasp this?

How can they announce they are moving if they are not invited? It would be the same thing as me announcing that I'm going to do Scarlet Johannsen without meeting her.

It would be the last step, the ones that occur before we may not hear about.

Those would be:

1. Resolve or get close to some sort of number on what buying out the Big XII is.

2. Loftin officially requests to join the SEC.

3. SEC presidents have a vote on A&M joining.

and then 4. Texas A&M announces joining the SEC

I doubt we hear much on 1 and 2, I guarantee something about 1 is already happening behind the scenes and probably has been for awhile now. We may hear about #3 being scheduled.

I have faith that A&M would not have gone down this road unless there was some idea that we would be voted into the SEC. I don't think this time its about getting concessions or more money from the Big XII like last year, I think this time Loftin is leaving.

If the move is announced by then, will we begin to hear SEC chants at A&M football games?

Ags chanted SEC at graduation. The SEC chants will be done at every home game this year. Before kickoff of the first game it will happen.

BTW our first game is on Sunday so you can all watch

Only thing I see is that the SEC isn't going to accept aTm alone. They need to have a buddy join(either division is fine).

You never know. Big 10 got along with 11 for years.
If the SEC can't get a 14 to fix their issues soon enough, but A&M is ready to pull the trigger, they may go for it. If A&M doesn't do it now, it may be a long while before we are able to pull this stunt again.

The SEC could function just fine with the addition of aTm alone. They would not have to add a 14th team to get the aTm deal done, and probably wouldn't. At least not at first, the long term plan would be to go to 14.

There may be more TV coverage in Texas than there is now.... but I don't think the entire State is suddenly going to take a liking to watching Vandy vs. KY --- or freakin UGA vs. UF, or LSU vs. Bama....

If you have ever lived in TX -- you understand --- TX - it's like a whole other county. Some good, some bad in my opinion... but definately not a "go with the crowd" kind of place... aTm has a widespread following, but not so much to outdo UT and the remaining Big 12 teams, I'd bet.

As for recruiting.... aTm to the SEC definately works against LSU's recruiting in the State of Texas.... we always had that advantage.

Would we have gotten Ben Wilkerson, Matt Flynn, and others had aTm been able to say, "we play all the same teams, and you're 5 hours closer to home and your parents", etc. Maybe but maybe not. On the recruiting side, I really think this is a negative for LSU.

Also fantastic, but I would make the short drive to Driftwood about 25 minutes from downtown Austin. Salt Lick is the best. I've heard Cooper's in Llano is great also but it's in BFE and I've never been.

I'll be counterintuitive and say that the SEC going into Texas actually further legitimizes LSU's efforts there.

I think LSU will have more to gain by being an SEC team in the State of Texas than LSU might lose to ATM in head to head recruiting

President Loftin skipped the Big 12 President's call today, whatever that means.

That the Big 12 kicked out A&M and thus they don't have to pay exit fees and are free to join the SEC?
