Probably haven’t started yet

It’s because they weren’t even in position to get serious until late last week, and I’m sure damage control has been their first step
Wouldn’t be surprised at all if there’s nothing serious going on

Verg was the leak in every football situation. Now that he is the guy no leaks. I know this because my Uncle would call him in past situation and get information all the time. Verg was the Leak.

If we come out in 2 months and say the interim is our new coach and not even do a major search then we have lots of problems on our hands.

Why not? I 100% believe they asked him

Not the Saban part, we agree there

I think you’ll start hearing things over these next week or two. Ole Miss has a bye week next week, so we’ll see if anything comes of that.

I talked to Rousse at the basketball game tonight and have names. He politely asked me not to post them here, though, saying he’d prefer to continue to read all the wrong info. I told him if Chicken kindly asks for them, I’d have to spill the beans in exchange for a free year of premium, though.

We got our man! Just waiting to announce at the right time. If that team is in the playoffs, it could be a while.

OR we aint getting any nibbles. A boat that isn't catching any fish doesn't have anything to tell.

Or conversely, a boat that is on a school is not radioing out said location, keeping it all to themselves.

I like your theory a lot better.

Or maybe there isn't anything to leak. Its still too early in the search for anything to have happened yet.

There’s a search. It’s been confirmed on the premium boards that there is difficulty getting agents to give us the time of day until the Kelly payout is resolved.

They’re as lost in this as our mighty sources.

The coaching change season runs in several stages:
The first stage is the firings and the behind the scenes communications on mutual interest in the open positions. We are currently in this phase of the cycle. There will be more firings. Conversations between agents and ADs/search committees/search firms gauging interest are beginning to take place. Agents and ADs, etc. are in an info gather mode and casting a wide net.
Next will come the interviews, the offers and the agent leaks to position their clients in as strong a position as possible (ie: playing the parties against each other including the school where the client is currently coaching) for the negotiations. This is when the fun begins, but we are still a week and a half to two weeks away. Patience the merry-go-round and frenzy is coming.
And in the days leading up to the last game of the season you will have a slew of announcements on coaches signing extensions either because they were not offered a job they would accept or the schools went above and beyond to retain the coach.
In the days following the end of the regular season you will have a slew of new coaching hire announcements. And a secondary phase of the complete cycle to fill the newly opened positions created by current coaches taking new jobs at other schools.
Now, some of the higher profile coaching searches will appear to drag on, as targets are coaching in the playoffs.

You have to respect the total shutdown of leaks by this AD and search group..
What do you want them to leak?

I'm imagining Verge in his office sipping coffee and thinking to himself, I should probably start that coaching search...tomorrow.
