You can’t go from Riley to a “safe hire”

Put me in for Lane. The guy took OLE MISS to a 10 win regular season in YEAR 2 with a group of 3 stars and and a 4 thrown in here and there. With losses @Bama and @Aub. The potential benefits far outweigh the negatives. Lane Kiffin with Louisiana talent is fn scary.
Do we want to be the super pc school that’s 3rd or 4th in the west every year or do we want to win championships? We may not be able to have both. No matter what Woodward needs to start having face to face sit downs with these coaches before making judgements. Fn hear them out

yep. i have come to that conclusion also. safe hire? grab lane. handcuffed by PC admin? cannot wait on NFL guys? no shot to pull fickell or get petersen? grab lane and be done with it.

Anyone who wanted Riley should be fine with Kiffin. You get the same thing, but for less money

If you think Kiffin is leaving for "less money" when it was reported LSU was offering Riley 12 million. Kiffin will tell you to frick right off I'm not your sloppy seconds. You pay me or dwell in your own shite to find a coach.

Riley was not the hire. There are better coaches for certain.

Can’t make another boneheaded hire though, on someone who carries a lot of baggage. LSU can’t do that right now.

Don’t know if you’re not understanding or you’re just stupid. I’m saying you get him for less than what you’d have to pay Riley
And if you’re saying Kiffin would turn down LSU because they wouldn’t offer 12 million like they would or did for Riley then just stop talking

Lane is not a bad fall back.
