You are welcome to your opinion, but as a member of the fanbase, I think this is a pretty good hire. He was not my first choice, but I think he can do well at LSU. Just because he is older, doesn’t mean he can’t coach. Hell, there was a decent sized faction of the “fanbase” that you referenced that were hoping for a 70 year old Nick Saban to return to Baton Rouge.

This is so true. LSU keeps hiring people for a lot of money that literally no one else is after. That's all that needs to be said. And of course this board will pom-pom it bc they're no better at this than the AD.
