7 mill is unrealistic anymore in order to win. You get what you pay for holds true with coaching as well.

Seeing as neither I nor anyone on this board are the ones paying it, no I would not care. Get the best guy you can regardless of cost imo.
It perplexes me that people get their panties in a wad over how much we'd pay for a coach.

I would take Harbaugh all day over Meyer. Both are lousy personalities, but I think Harbaugh is a much better coach. Dont like either of them as a person though.

He's pretty special. I don't think you can find another "great" coach that lost to the powerhouses of Navy and SMU in the same year. Talk about not motivating a team.

As a matter of principle I don't like it. Sports coaches shouldn't be making $7million IMO but that is today's market thanks to bama and Michigan so if that's what it takes sure pay him.

I would be incredibly excited if LSU could somehow get Herman. If I was making the decisions, I would take the chance to get him even if it meant having to pay up to 7M.
It is easy to see that he is at the very least a good enough coach to keep us towards the top of the SEC, but he seem to have a lot of ambition that could prove to be just what LSU needs.
I think that LSU needs to either go big or go home. We paid a lot to get saben, and if we want another good coach we are going to have to pony up again.
