absolutely. I think he would be an incredible recruiter.

Rex to LSU per my sources

Yes he would be great. I think kids would love his personality and let him coach them hard. Recruiting would only be an issue if he wasn't in to it. I think he could dominate the living room and the high school field house

He would need to surround himself with experienced college assistants. He would need to simplify his system and have someone educate him on what college players can learn with limited practice time.

I'm positive he would be one of the best. Great defense, and he would be such a great recruiter. If A&M was looking, he'd be my first unrealistic choice.

Being a good college coach is way more than recruiting...
He'd be a fatter Al Groh.

well he's very good defensively as well. I maintain that he'd be an excellent college coach bringing in elite blue chippers.

I don't see him being the kind to like recruiting. That's a lot of work to kiss some kids arse, and that doesn't seem like Rexs thing.

DC seems to be his calling

What would Rex's sells pitch be to offensive recruits? He'd have to hire a lights out staff on offense to bring them in, especially QBs. Dudes style is a straight up QB killer.

ryan is wired as nfl guy.
Good NFL coach does not come back to college. JH is an exception because he loves the school.
to make it work, the school need to have money and at the same time has the emotion tie to the coach.
there are only a handful of colleges can do it.

It would be a disaster. I don't want either of the Ryan brothers anywhere near LSU. There are reasons the two of them always seem to be looking for jobs.

I know he would be a great college coach. He's coached at the level before so he knows recruiting. Has name recognition. Plus he can tell kids what it takes to get to NFL.
