Apparently deal being finalized. I didn’t copy but it was from a tweet by Dave DeArmond...Mizzou beat writer.

Really? Look how the last few ASU coaches have done after leaving there. Need a AD to find a good coach with minimal resources in a shitty depressing part of a shitty depressing state? Look to ASU. Freeze, Malzahn, Harsin, Anderson. Pretty good run there.

Why didn't we hire any of the others? UA is the Flagship. We don't take ASU's sloppy seconds.
They fear us hiring a coach from ASU would legitimize ASU. But I don't think I could be worse than them going elsewhere, doing well and them coming back and pushing our shite in.

Lol. I doubt this is true. It’s likely stemming from some shitty reports from the STL media which haven’t been quite debunked yet (but will be tomorrow when our coaching hire is announced).

Agree. Could be much worse. I’d be surprised if he left ASU based on the way the community has embraced his family. Then again, perhaps there are too many painful memories there and feels a fresh start is what’s best for he and his family.
