Feldman was on the Russillo pod yesterday and he said that Woodward is going to make Dabo, Jimbo, and Lincoln Riley tell him no. Then mentioned that there is a contingent at LSU who really likes Mel Tucker.

I really think the Mel Tucker hype is going to die down over these next several weeks when they lose a few games.

Bingo. The NFL is where you go to find out if you can TRULY coach (ask Saban). Everything is based on parity, no stacking recruiting classes on top of each other.

Just think about it. The absolute sorriest, terrible player in the NFL is still a top flight, elite talent. All 32 teams have virtually the same roster. QBs and coaches win in that league.

Imagine the combination of Tomlin with LSU'S brand. Momma would be SWOONING over him during the in-house visits, and the player knows full well that Tomlin has been coaching the Picksburgh Stiller's their whole life as they grew up.

Why would he be interested? He's been in Pittsburgh for 14 years now. He would actually get time off in the college game. The NFL is 24/7/365.25. He makes 7.5 a year currently. Surely we can top that at LSU. IF he's interested, Tomlin is by far the most qualified for this job.

I'd only want Riley of those 3. After that prefer Aranda. Dabo I just can't stand.

I'm actually not a fan of NFL guys coming to college.

I mean guys who made their claim at the NFL level. I rather a proven and recently successful college coach.

That's just me though. I have always felt that way. Tomlin is a great coach, but I can't see him leaving the Steelers.

I want Riley bad.

I would actually be okay with Jimbo or Dabo. I understand that is not a popular opinion around here. I do have concerns about Dabo though. I have heard he is not big on the transfer portal. If true, I think he needs to change his mind about that.

I asked him directly is Tate going try to overrun Woodward and make him hire who he wants. He said no. He said Tate is all about winning and has thrown out some names but it’s not his hire.

Exactly what I've been saying, but that won't stop the snowflakes from melting lol

I have no clue if he has interest. Someone with a "sauce" in the thread claimed Woodward was checking Tomlin's interest.

I get what your saying about pro coaches dropping down to the college ranks. The difference with Tomlin is that he's won 68% of his games, and a Super Bowl. Most of the guys dropping down were so-so coaches in the NFL, something Tomlin is far from.

We would be combining a coach good enough to win the SUPER BOWL with LSU'S top flight talent. And there is no question he can relate to the guys he is recruiting/coaching. If he wants the job, Woodward can end the search now.

If Scott is targeting Lincoln Riley and is able to lure him away from OU, Scott is truly a Jedi Master.

There are a number of candidates that I like that I think would do very well at LSU, but Riley paired with a competent DC would make LSU an instant contender.

I will say his original information about O being ok with stepping down is impossible to prove. He was fired and demanded his buyout.

If you listened to the press conference o knew it was coming after the kentucky game and was fine with it.

He said he didn't have the answers to fix anything. He basically agreed to it.

Dabo would leave LSU to replace Saban at Bama, guaranteed. Jimbo, he's a notch below Riley in energy he'd bring to the program. Riley is going to be tough to get. He's already one of the top 5 highest paid, and OU can easily match LSU in facilities, and money. And frankly, OU is a blueblood university along with Ohio State, Notre Dame, Alabama and Michigan with a better all time winning percentage (#4) than Alabama (#5).

frick Dabo and his lil ole Clemson and forcing his religion on everyone. That guy has no idea what he's doing without good coordinators, similar to Orgeron.
