That's why I clarified sane. There are people who would have melted down over hiring Saban again after Miami too.
I'll also throw Urban Meyer into the mix. As much as I loathe that man and would stop watching LSU if he was the coach, he's definitely a splash hire that would be appropriate for an AD to describe with "you're gonna love it."

Don’t know much about Peterson but why would he come back to coaching? Didn’t he leave UW because he was burnt out from coaching? LSU is ruthless and not for the faint of heart (unless we are winning obviously).
Plus it wouldn’t be this big kept secret that he’s the guy. Why withhold that info all this time?

Lmao. The knock on him is he doesn't fire staff that doesn't perform because he is hard headed. Like miles. Blames issues on a young offensive line when he has a few 5 and 6 year seniors on it. Then, he has never beaten a top 5 team at ND. 3-8 VS top 10 teams. If LSU hires him, everyone will be laughing at us and the idiots that think he is a good hire
