Until Kelly fills the staff, lsu fans have a right to question what he is doing. House is a nfl there is no reason why lsu can't name him as Dc. I think Kelly is being told no more than yes.

Well sure there is. Maybe he doesn't want the distraction right now, maybe he isn't interested and we already moved on, maybe he's waiting to see what the chiefs counter with.

So is having a list of top names and going after them a bad thing? Freeman would be here right now if he wasn't the HC at ND. So sometimes the guys you want don't workout for whatever reason. Then you move down the list. There's no reason to even be worried right now. It's a recruiting dead period and esd is over. Hiring staff today or a month from now will have no real impact to the future of LSU football so long as BK brings in good coordinators, which he consistently does.

Kelly builds loyalty from his coaches. Freeman said he thought he was coming here with CBK before he was offered the ND HC job. Several assistants have travelled with Kelly from stop to stop. More than the NFL, I think we should see what happens with the ND staff after the bowls.

Actually what freeman said was he told kelly yes on the phone but he would have to ask his wife.

You are both correct. This statement does not contradict what he said. Freeman never said his wife shot down the move. It was the HC job offer that ultimately caused him not to come to LSU.
