Check out this article from SBNation on how much he has changed and learned from his Ole Miss days.
For instance, you know why he has shortened practice time and made them more uptempo? Because while at Ole Miss, he had practice exactly like Les did and saw how it impacted his players negatively. So he has changed that. He's letting his coaches coach. He is being more of a CEO type.
Honestly, I don't think his Ole Miss time is anything more than a positive at this point. He learned from his mistakes and has learned what works and what doesn't.

Why are you going to such lengths to ignore empirical evidence? He's been coaching for 30 years. If he were a good HC he would've had his own program a while ago.
What are the odds that someone with one HC job (which was a miserable failure) in 30 years is going to be the guy that can beat Nick Saban?

All that does is tell me what he did a decade ago. I believe he is much much better now than he was then. You either don't think he is or just not willing to take that chance.
I believe that if he can finish this season very strong (win out or lose 1) and show he can maximize our talent, he should get the job.

I totally get what you're saying, but I'd like to think you realize how much risk is involved in ignoring the single biggest job on his resume. Not to mention that, your basing you confidence in him on the things HE is telling us.
A guy who's lifelong dream is to be the coach of LSU will tell you anything to get the job.
There's also no way that HE himself knows he's a better HC now. He MAY think he's got it figured out, but nobody knows if that's true or not, including him.

Fair enough but nobody know what's Herman would do at a high pressure job either. Nobody knows what Jimbo would do long term in the SEC without Winston.

There were people who wanted Saban gone prior to and even after 2003. People wanted Miles gone immediately. People will want whoever the new coach is gone from almost day one. It is what LSU coaching and fandom have become.
It's been there since the Charlie Mac days, at least, but it seems particularly vocal now days.

If Herman or chip Kelly is available you do whatever it takes to try and get them. Doesn't matter if O goes undefeated and wins every game by 20 points. After those 2...we'll then we can talk
