Will TAF and LSU allow Woodward to wait for Riley’s decision or take Kiffin now?

Woodward is the smartest guy in all of this, but sources say he will be pressured to get the hire done by December. Tall order when Riley’s team is likely in the playoffs. Would be nice to know the future, if OU will be upset and denied a playoff birth. Kiffin making clear he wants the LSU job, will only add more pressure on Woodward to decide a course. Kiffin isn’t dumb either.

I don't see OU making the playoffs. Their November schedule is going to knock them out. Hell, it is very possible they will be 0-3 in November as they play at Baylor, host Iowa State, and then finish at OSU.
All 3 of those teams can beat OU. Iowa State has the most difficult task since that game is in Norman, but road games to Baylor and to OSU will be hard wins.

I doubt we would wait, unless Woodward has basically guaranteed assurances that he’s accepting.

Riley might be someone Woodward trusts, and is willing to wait if Riley says he’s coming to LSU. But Kiffin sees the dilemma LSU and Woodward are in because of the December date, so he’s making noise, “here I am, here I am”

If it's true that Woody is calling recruits and telling them he will make the best hire then it has to be done before ESD.
