The leverage isn’t leaving for LSU, the leverage is leaving period. He had all the leverage he needed without needing to have the lsu job offer in hand.

Do you dumb asses really think he had any interest in the LSU job after the way he was reportedly trolling us the week before the Baylor game? If he was sincere in listening to our offer he and Stoops wouldnt have been wearing purple pants, wouldnt have changed the music on his voice mail and he wouldnt have purposely missed a pres conference when he knew a plane was headed to Baton Rouge. Leaving OU for LSU has always been a big joke to him.

Those saying it never was a distraction or why would I think it was a distraction have to consider the recruits calling wanting to know if it’s true, the parents of current commits wanting to know, boosters and current players wanting to know and so on.
With the amount of smoke that was out there, true or not, you still have to take time away from your normal game week preparations to address these things when asked.
Why go through that when you and the AD could’ve come out Monday and said, stop believing the BS. I’m not going anywhere?

Some of us have been saying this for a while and getting absolutely crucified for it.
Sorry, but I've seen this movie before. And I don't care how bad I "want" a coach, I don't believe anything until ink is dry and press conferences happen.
Coaches use other teams to get raises, it happens. All. The. Time. It's the game. We don't even know if Woodward actually had any serious talks with the Riley camp. He might have. He might have also been courting a completely different coach altogether this whole time.
We'll find out soon enough.
People seriously just need to pray or get drunk or get high or whatever works for them, and just let this play out. It's fun to watch from the outside, but it's toxic
