Why would Jimbo leave FSU?

Jimbo has had great recruiting classes and is the top Florida school right now. Also he has another great QB that can take them to a NC if they can keep him healthy. Why come to LSU where he would have to reinstall his system and run it for a least a year with a lesser qb. I hate the way he runs his program. Talk about Miles not disciplining his players he is worse.

Pay for his assistants, and LSU has the bigger budget.

SEC. No instate competition for recruiting. The same national brand, maybe even a larger one. Nearly an unlimited amount of money to spend on assistants

Money, better relationship with the AD, better budget for his assistants, new challenge, escape oppressive personal circumstances, personal ties to Louisiana, LSU is an elite job.

He lost his Defensive Coordinator to Alabama. That wouldn't happen here. Also, who doesn't want to have Dave Aranda at the moment.

Assistant pay and maybe he needs a change of scenery. Maybe he needs to rekindle that competitive flame by coming to coach at LSU and go up against saban and some of the best teams in the country. Most coaches are competitive and want to challenge themselves to be better

Didn't his wife sleep with her personal trainer, a former Florida WR, and he is still stuck in the same town with that woman.

Also, as Florida and Miami become more established under their new coaching regimes, he has to compete with that talent for recruits. Come to Louisiana, the whole state is yours.

Exactly, people overlook the great boost that Louisiana recruiting brings to the table.

ACC has not been the easier path to NC in recent years. I mean there's two ACC teams in the playoff picture right now.

I don't get the love for Jimbo - I agree with concern over how he runs his program, and it's not like he's set the world on fire at FSU, where he has plenty of talent and resources at his disposal. I'm sure he would be ok to good, but we just fired 'ok to good'. Plus, if it's not broken.... maybe we should avoid blowing it up?

Yeah that argument has been dumb for a few seasons now. The fact of the matter is LSU has one of the wealthiest athletic departments in the country. And Jimbo apparently wants to be in Louisiana. Sounds like a perfect fit, imo.

Currently in his 7th season as the Head Coach...

75-17 record
4-2 bowl record
3 ACC championships (12, 13, 14)
1 National Championship (2013)
2013 Coach of the Year

yea, what a fricking chump

I see that but compare to having to beat the West and possibly having to beat Bama twice shite give me the Acc. Just saying if I was in his shoes.

Won a national title and has owned the State of Florida in recruiting since he got there. Are you fricking kidding me?!

It was broken, and we fired Les. O is doing a great job as interim, but it's a band-aid job. Interim is far different than permanent.

In 6 years, Jimbo has finished no lower than 2nd in his division. Made the ACC championship game 4 times. Won 3 of them. Won a national championship, and made the playoff another year. Has had great recruiting classes. Great developer of QBs.

No, he's not perfect, but I'd be satisfied with him. He's earned it.

In no way is this a knock against LSU. I think we have one of the top five programs in the country, but I have no interest in Jimbo as being LSU HC. Maybe OC. Lol
