What would keep him hiring Aranda away from LSU to join him in Texas?

The only thing better than all the "insiders" is the people who don't know anything, but post dumb shite as facts. Something is wrong in your brain if you can't imagine a coach wanting to come here.

Better facilities
Better conference
Better roster
More success recently (last 16 years)
More control over the team and the program
We made out last coach successful instead of ruining his career

Really? You can't see why a driven competitive young coach would want the biggest stage in college football? The richest recruiting grounds, the toughest opponents, the biggest paycheck...

This idea that UT is some dream job is very misguided. Austin is a shitshow. If everyone was beating down their door, how did they end up with Strong? That's a Moore State type of hire.

No meddling boosters. The state of the programs are Night and day. Texas is more than just rebuilding. It has deep imbedded systemic issues that cannot be changed overnight, 2 years or 5 years. Herman would have like 10 Jerry Jones in his ear everyday.

Herman has a cakewalk to the playoffs in the big 12.

Fournette or Guice would have run for 9 million yards and 10,000 TD at an FCS school.

LSU would match any offer
Obviously not since UT has sucked for half a decade now
UT has trouble beating Kansas, much less OU.

I think it's clear the LSU job comes with more autonomy, so there's that.

UT recruiting was fine back when Mack didn't have to do shite and there was no competition. Look what happened when TCU, Baylor, Tech, and A&M got better and LSU and Oklahoma started raiding top Texas talent.

This shows that you don't know shite. The best coaches in america are fighting for top spots in the sec and big10. If your comment were true, they'd all be fighting over the Boise state or smu job.
