Why so much love for Orgeron?

16-27 career record
9-22 in conference
Ole Miss seemed to go the wrong direction with him as HC. I don't think a 7 game stretch as HC would even remotely qualify you for a job like LSU.
He's a great DL coach but i don't see it as HC

Miles is gone. It's a new day. Optimism abounds

I don't want him as head coach long term, but it is possible he improved....

Because of reasons other than the results of football games.

I see few people wanting him to be the coach next year. I think people are just happy a change has been made.

If he does great with the team this year I don't see why not have him up for consideration. In his last sample size at USC he did very well and he could have evolved from his time at Ole Miss. He would easily be able to lock down Louisiana recruiting and would be able to cherry pick some other states. Which is pretty much what Bama is doing now. His biggest question marks are the same as Miles can he develop talent and the gameplan.

If he wasn't from Louisiana, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
I like him and hope we'll be able to retain him, after this season, but not as the head coach (unless something completely ridiculous takes place). If we lose him because of that, so be it. LSU recruited just fine, before Orgeron arrived, and will continue to do so.

LSU fans have the lowest expectations in all forms of life. Most would be happy with O and more Texas Bowls.

Personality
That's literally it. Hes perfect as a coordinator. Not a HC

OP is top 1% in intelligence on this board.
Reason there is "so much love" is Ponamsky is writing a lot of these posts.

1) He loves LSU
2) For now he is LSU
3) with the meat of the schedule ahead, he is giving and getting the best interview for HC! We will KNOW what he can do with LSU at end of year.

I hope we hire Coach O and he tanks for 3 years like he did at Ole Miss.
Just dont be on here crying Tiger fans. You knew the guys resume before you hired him.

Its better to fail with a man that believes than succeed with some careerist using the school as a stepping stone.
