How does it go sideways? He’s shown the ability to take a nothing program and turn it into a contender for 6 years!

Seriously? He’s been at Ole Miss for 6 years with zero issues.

It can go sideways quickly because he has yet to show the ability to take a massive program like LSU and bring titles home.

I can easily go home with a 6 and make her happy for a night but I'm less likely to bring home a 9.7 and satisfy her.

Amazing of how people can see into the minds of individuals they probably have never met and if they have only for a minute....and KNOW their motivations.

How exactly would that draw him away from Ole Miss when they would probably have zero issues giving him more per year, for more years, with a bigger buyout, and the same incentives?

1 is a Top 3 job in CFB by most national pundits and has the resources as high if not higher than that, while the other is in Oxford, MS. UF is a far better job than Ole Miss, but you don’t go to UF if LSU calls.

Are we holding him to a standard that we won’t hold St. Nick to now??

say give him $11 million a year for three years with a $20 million buyout

He's gonna make more than that with his new deal at Ole Miss, with a longer guaranteed contract

Wouldn’t we rather Ole Miss pay 15 million a year for 112-53 than LSU?
Maybe it’s just me.

but I keep replaying in my mind him going for it on 4th down on his own 25, up 12 in the 3rd quarter, this past Saturday.

I’ll take that over BK not going for it on 2nd & 20 and 3rd & 26 while down 7 in the waning minutes of the 4th quarter against Vandy

what makes you say that? He followed O at USC then ole miss, i dont think he was interested in following him again last time around and I'm not sure how much interest he would have this time around with the success he's haveing at ole miss.

You guys are crazy. He has acquired tremendous talent at OLE MISS and has OLE MISS in line for a decent run in the playoffs.

Sometimes the current employer and booster aroumd the program constantly hounding them about staying is what ends up driving them away. Lane just said that whatever decisions he makes aren't driven by money. There are a lot of other upsides to an LSU or UF over Ole Miss.

2 huge points on Kiffin

1) He has publicly stated (on McAfee’s show) that money is not his motivator. Said that Sexton HATES it when he says it, but he is not concerned about the money.

2) He knows that Kiffin at LSU has an easier route to the playoffs than does Kiffin at Ole Miss, in part because LSU and Ole Miss play each other every year. He likely assumes that the coach that LSU will hire will be a quality coach ahead a quality program, while the coach that Ole Miss would hire, should he leave, will be of lessor quality and will lead a lessor program. Therefore, if he is on the LSU side, the Ole Miss side is weaker, than if he remains on the Ole Miss said against a strong LSU.
