Why is everyone in panic mode?

Woodward has played this to perfection. He has the media, sports talk show figureheads, sports news anchors, etc. spewing out stupidity like “BoB is a real possibility” and it has some fans in the proverbial fetal position on the floor. It’s like they’re blindfolded with arms extended, but can’t feel anything and they’re panicked not knowing how to navigate the dark room. No one knows ANYTHING and it’s intended to be that way.

Remember that not too long ago Joe Alleva was AD and any terrible hire was on the table. You can't blame people for being shell shocked from that nightmare.

This. But for whatever reason some people can’t understand that. And there is NO timeline for the “white whale”. LSU isn’t gonna let some marquee coach slip from its fingertips over some silly freaking early signing period bull shite. LSU and Woodward WILL wait if need be to reel in the big fish.

Lol, if you think this is panic mode. Just wait until 20 seconds after the A&M game ends and there isn't an immediate announcement of who the coach is.

This. The 2016 search gave everyone catastrophe syndrome. Everyone actually thought we were getting Jimbo or Herman and were excited about those possibilities. They were then kicked in the balls by the Orgeron hire and being told by the AD he was the guy all along. Hard not to think about that this time around and think something similar could happen.

The majority of Louisiana folks having this predates that search by a long, long time. It runs rampant in the state and on TD as a result, so many posters are kneejerk emotional as a result. But 2016 certainly didn’t help matters

IMO, Riley hasn't really issues a denial. It's all coach speak - which is not a denial. Jimbo has flat out rejected a move to LSU. Riley has not. Until he does, I think he is at the top of the list.

I'm not panicking, because Woodward is AD, and he's not the barely functioning moron that Alleva is. But the post-Alleva PTSD is quite real around here and sadly, well earned.
