Why do some think Aranda as HC will be the best solution?

we don't know if anyone is cut out to be the HC at LSU.

What we do know is our BOS and AD can not hire a coach from outside the LSU walls. Aranda is on staff, already making a pile of money, huge buyout, and is a brilliant defensive mind.

I pray it's him so that we don't give these boosters and admin another chance to screw up.

Very smart, great attention to detail, and one of the best DC's in the country, and if you don't eventually make him HC, you're going to lose that.

He may have to baby step it for a little, but I feel certain it will be worth it.

And Jimbo isn't coming here. Let it go.

No one can predict that, but Georgia fired Richt and had no idea if Kirby would work out and look what it got them. You have to take some risks to get the rewards. Unless you're the LSU administration, they just hire people who have been proven that they don't work and hope for the best.

He’s young, he’s intelligent, he’s very well organized and detailed.

I’d also bet just about anything he’s bring in a guy to run a more modern offense.

How is Aranda a lower bar than Orgeron? Numerous schools have hired proven defensive coordinators. One of them just lost in OT in the nationa championship.

Aranda is a great defensive mind. Both coaches in the title game last night are also considered great defensive minds. Seems to be as solid of a bet as you can make.

Young, up and coming coordinator who is level headed, agreeable, and extremely knowledgeable. That's the story of every great coach at some point in their career.

Smart worked under Saban for how long? Who has aranda coached under that has given him the blueprint for winning titles. Aranda always seemed more coordinator than head coach to me. And that’s not a knock on him.

There is no blueprint to winning titles besides recruiting at the highest level and ensuring you surround yourself with the best coordinators. aka paying said coordinators. It's not like football is fricking quantum physics.

it's hard to win because of competition and time allotted to you by admin and fans

If Kirby Smart can get UGA to the natty i have no doubt that Aranda could get LSU on that level.

He is every bit of the DC Smart is(was). Imagine Aranda at Alabama

He is really a sharp guy, unlike O.

Paid his dues as a DC and I'm sure he would still recruit at a high, if not higher level on defense. You think Aranda would've pulled a blunder like O did this season with Canada?

No one wants to work for O, it's evident in how weak this coaching staff is outside of Aranda, Ensminger(as a TE coach) and Raymond who were all hired by Les.

He's earned the chance to be the HC here or anywhere else for that matter.
