Who everyone knows will more than likely try to jump in a year. This doesn't make any damn sense and I don't like the guy personally. Too many character issues

He seems to want every job but the one being handed to him on a silver platter.

Could have left it at that, because that's your real argument

Because our fan base is full of people who only care about landing a big name, even if he has loyalty and character flaws.

We missed out on our big name with the HC search, so people are losing their shite.

Because he's a good offensive coordinator.

This is about the dumbest thing I've read this morning. Can you blame a guy for trying to land a HC gig before committing to an OC job? Is that really hard to grasp?

I want Kiffin because he's a great offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

Why is everyone is so sure he'll land a job next year? He's won 3 straight SEC championships with 3 first-year starting quarterbacks and he isn't going to land a head job this year.

I don't think it's completely out of the question that Kiffin would be here 2-3 years. You just never know. Shouldn't be a reason not to hire him. News flash: Every offensive coordinator wants to be a head coach. Anyone we hire here could bolt after a year or two if he's really successful.

There are more and more LSU fans that have adopted the "win at all costs" mentality.

Winning with any kind of integrity means nothing to these spoiled kids.

Kiffin's an outstanding OC who has taken Bama to the playoffs 3 years in a row with first-year starters at QB each year.

And character issues? Yes, personally Kiffin is a tool. But he's kept his nose clean for 3 years and besides, I'm not concerned if my coaches are choir boys.

I'd take Kiffin here in a heartbeat.

Maybe because the one on a silver platter is a Coord position and the others are HC's

If any OC is as successful as we want him to be he's going to be looked at for a HC job. Those whining about wanting "long term stability" at the position are basically saying they want an average OC that no one will want.
