threads like these are so funny to me.
under any sort of hypothetical that he is interested, half of the things you listed wont be a problem. you think hes going to talk to Scott Woodward and try to get back into coaching when he still doesn't feel motivated to do it? you think if he took the job he'd realize then, "shite I don't know anybody here ive never coached in the sec."
none of those things would be an issue. he's a winner and thats what hes been his whole career. he'd figure out how to win at lsu just like how he figured out how to do it at boise and Washington.

Because he's an elite football mind, a high level recruiter, a proven winner and program builder, has a reputation of beating "giants" of superior talent, and is young enough still to give a dozen or more years to the right team.
The firing of Lake at Washington may have some positive effect for LSU on this situation…especially if Washington hires a “big game” coach that would make the optics better.
The idea that “he would be announced already” if it were Petersen isn’t necessarily correct…others have mentioned that our top choice was given an offer and a deadline, and still hasn’t said no.

He is a poor man’s Urban Meyer

Ironically a refutation of the OP makes Petersen look like a much stronger candidate than anything else I'd seen on this board

4. His best season at Washington was 12-2 in 2016 then he regressed each season before leaving in 2019. His record at Washington was 55-26 taking over what Sark built.
Sarkisian was very average as HC at Washington. Petersen improved upon that significantly, but I agree that hiring him would not be a great choice.

I’d say he’s an honest man’s Urban Meyer.
