Who would be in your OC binder and why? Build your case.

From Applewhite to Kiffen and more. Tell me who you think should be on our OC shortlist and why.

Who will not be, but should is Tim Rattay. Prolific career at LA Tech. Spent several years in the league. Now the OC for one of the top offenses in the nation. I know at one point they had a QB averaging over 350 passing, a RB averaging over 100 yards rushing, and two WRs averaging over 100 yards a game receiving.
Like I said, won't happen, but he warrants a mention.

let's say Kiffen is off the table...
I like sterling gilbert with briles serving as an advisor.
Perhaps some UT fans could share some intel on gilbert. It's the least they could do after fricking us

I think I should throw my hat in the ring. My offenses on NCAA 09 averaged 1000 yards a game, and this was on Heisman mode with no sliders and with teams I recruited. I always tailored my offense to my QB. I'd argue I was Lane Kiffin before he was.
My resume is laminated and hole-punched. It's ready to go in the binder immediately. Can any of these other also-rans say that?

Tell us why we should believe anything you ever say again?

Let's leave Ratty out of this, he is right where he needs to be.

High volume of quick passes for sure.

the timing is bad (only been in college coaching one year) and he is at his alma mater but Ty Detmer at BYU is very intriguing as an OC

rattay is only the WRs coach?

Do we still have the great Zadock Dinkelman committed? Isn't he Ty's nephew?

That is a name I have not heard in a long time. Wikipedia says he is the QB coach not OC.

Most of my UT friends complained about not using the middle of the field (sounds familiar) and it was either bubble screens or shots down the sideline. (Sound familiar?
)

If I'm picking an OC for high-level school my list begins and ends with Lincoln Riley.
If I can't get Lincoln then I immediately start with Tyson Helton and Dan Enos. I don't trust Sarkisian yet.

Riley, Canada, Meachem/Cumbie, and Gilbert would all be on my short list.
I'd rather pass on Kiffin and I don't want Applewhite or Sark at all.

Not as spectacular as some of the AAC and Big 12 guys but they were well coached and featured a brutal running game. I know we arent getting Detmer to leave Provo but the type of offense they run with spread concepts and some better passing is what I would like to see at LSU
I want guys that run a sound offense that is dependable and fundamental to go with our defense. Air raid guys dont fit the bill to me, that offense will fail you spectacularly in November
