Who Thinks Lane Kiffin Could Be Scary Good At Florida?

Serious question. Say what you want about him being an arrogant little piss ant...he obviously is. But:
He can recruit extremely well.
He has experience as a HC.
He has experience as a HC and OC in the SEC and Pac12.
He has tutored under the Dark Lord and Pete Carroll.
He has failed before which can be a good thing if he learned something and became a stronger coach because of it...which is very possible.
He has moved a good bit and could be looking to land somewhere for a while.
He is ultra competitive and probably hungry for redemption and to prove that he can win it all as a HC.
He has been a HC for 5 seasons under less than ideal circumstance and still never produced a losing record.
He has personal knowledge of the enemy...in this case, his master Saban, the guy you have to beat to win it all.
What makes candidates like Jim McElwain or Doc Holliday better?

I, for one, would love to see Lane lay waste to UF. Maybe Orgeron can get them on probation, or get his shot at DC.

Just curious, what exactly has Lane Kiffin done to make anyone think he would be a a great HC?
It can't be 5-15 for the Raiders.
It can't be 28-15 at USCw (10-8 last 2 seasons before canned).
He seems like the kinda guy that can talk his way into a job, then just as easily burn every bridge on his way out.

Dude had everything he could have asked for at USC (even though they were facing some sanctions) and failed. What makes you think UF would be any different?
He has constantly proven that he is not a good HC.
After saying all that.. I would love it if he went there. Keep UF on the decline for a few more years.

Lane needs to show he can win as a head coach at a smaller school before I'd let him have another big name head coaching job.
I'm sure, as with his other head coaching jobs, Lane will be handed the keys to a big name program without doing anything to earn them.

I think Kiffin will one day be an elite Head Coach, but not after just one year with Saban. I'd say he needs at least one more year, and maybe more. Though he may not be that patient, and if he isn't that could be a bad sign. Though you can't turn down Florida.

The guy isn't mature enough to be a head coach. I'm pretty sure he pissed off every HC in 1 season at UTe. Some are cut out of to be a HC. Lane is not.

Besides 30 something scholarships. USC's sanctions were every bit as bad as Bama's in the early 2000's. I don't get why everyone assumed USC could stay on top after that. You can't compete nationally without depth.
Kiffin needs more time to regroup as an OC before taking a job like UF, but Nebraska would be wise to hire him. They absolutely must have a national name who can recruit from coast to coast.

He needs another year or two at Bama, and a successful stint at a middling program before I'd give him the keys to a big-time power. I think it will happen, eventually. He is a very young man, in coaching terms.

Nebraska has to understand that they're basically UTenn, and Kiffin will treat them just as poorly if they're dumb enough to hire him

les miles was 48 when he got his first HC job in college. think about that. 9 years older than kiffin is now
