Lane is a good play caller and living under Saban is going to help him long term. He got thrown in some bad situations and certainly rubbed some people the wrong way.

USC he and Sark did a great job after Chow
Oakland was just a terrible situation
Tennesse I thought he did a decent job
USC he was recruiting fine but limited scholarships killed him
Alabama he is doing a great job calling plays

Lane needs to grow up and become a man people can believe. His credibility can be reestablished by winning and coaching with Saban for a few years.
