No, it doesn't.

Ensminger will not be LSU's OC next season.

It would only be good if there was no better option. And I can't believe that there aren't better options.

Ensminger is not my first choice - Sark would be that guy. However, he is not a bad choice. In team sports, chemistry is vital, and I LOVED our offense last year when he took over Cam's offense, modified it, and moved the football well. Yeah, I know that Bama shut us out, but fact is, they were just better than us. We could do a lot worse.

the old man is checking in. I do NOT think hiring Emsminger is a good idea. I have repeated stated that I like Steve but NOT as OC. he's a positive in recruiting and I guess a good TE coach but I want a better OC.

I do. Loved his playcalling when he took over last time. And the execution was as on point as it could have been considering the poor O-Line talent. Ran the offense tailored to our strengths.

I think Briles is the best OC available this year and was the best last year as well. But I wish Canada was still here to keep the cohesion from this year. After Briles, I’d like Esminger if he kept with most of the same offensive concepts and play vernacular that Canada implemented as in not too drastic of a change.

ETA: I could give a shite if it’s some big name or not. People who know football can look past that shite.

have

No, in fact, I hated it. As I said in my last post, Coach E is not my first choice. I would love to get Sark, Gilbert, and Cumbie intrigue me and coulbe killer OC's. Also, the Art Briles offense was damn fun, and could be fabulous with our athletes. However, hiring Kendall in the #metoo age, his inexperience primarily as a lap dog to Daddy and Lane, and his VERY CLOSE association concealing rampart rape at Baylor could be a disaster.

you are a pigeonhole. I am an independent thinker and you cannot successfully predict what I think.

I also hope and believe steve will not be our OC. but if he is, I promise you I will not shite on him or drag him down as a person like the haters on this board.

I do not believe he would be successful. we need a qb coach and expert at the passing game.

It looks bad on paper but I think when the dust settles it would be fine.

Look, message boards deal with things like this on paper. They want a big name. Most of the time they are wrong. They don’t know football, they aren’t privy to important information about candidates outside of what they read or hear.

For instance I remember people laughing at coach O promoting Meatball Johnson. As small of a hire that was, it still drew criticism. All our fans looked at was his rasume’. A year later they realize he is now our best recruiter. How could they have possibly know that on paper? They couldn’t

Ensminger’s results won’t be nearly as boring as his name is during this “search”. People keep throwing out they want something “exciting!!!”. What the frick does that even mean? Exciting doesn’t win games. Good players who execute a sound game plan win games. I don’t think anyone is rolling out an exciting offense with Danny Etling taking snaps & throwing to Russell Gage. Come the frick on
