But, you totally have me confused with someone else. I have no idea who Brett McMurphy is. I'm just a Seminole fan who likes following the Coaching Carousel. When FSU coaches are involved, I like to go to boards where there are rumors regarding FSU coaches and chat with folks.
I have tried to make it very clear that I am no insider. I know no one even remotely connected with Jimbo Fisher, anyone at LSU, or any other coach rumored as a possible candidate.
I'm just a fan.
I have tried to make it clear that I am not an insider. I have posted a couple of links to stories I thought y'all might find interesting. When I posted the link to the Longhorn board I am pretty sure I made the comment that I had no idea who this guy was or even anything about the forum he was on.
I have said anything I say is based on nothing more than my speculation. My speculation is LSU has their man. But, I have no knowledge of that. I'm just guessing based on 20+ years of following coaching changes.
I just clicked on your link. Other than the name, which by the way is spelled differently (I only have 1 "t") I see no connection.
Sorry about the confusion. As I stated in my first post, I am a guest here and I will always try and behave like one.

Not possible. Per his profile, Bret75 (who just joined a week ago) is from Tavares FL. Hack Bret McMurphy is from the Tampa "area." Everyone knows that Tavares is worlds away from Tampa.

On a side note, the two biggest coaching job openings right now would be LSU and Texas. I bet "reporters" would love to break that story. Curious if you so passionately follow the Charlie Strong saga as well? Just sayin...

a. You are a Seminole fan.
b. Who lives in Tavares FL. LINK
c. Who has been a Noles fan since the 60's. LINK
d. Brett McMurphy resides in the "Tampa/St. Pete Area" LINK
e. Per McMurphy's Linked In, he was a writer for the Tampa Tribune for over 22 years, 17 years of which were spent covering college athletics (presumably covering Florida State .... I highly doubt the Tampa Tribune is giving a lot of coverage to local LSU these days.) LINK

I guess that makes sense. I've been an LSU fan since the 90's (my fandom is lacking 30 years of seniority to yours), and I've never heard of Glenn Guilbeau or Scott Rabalais or Jim Kleinpeter. I am so sorry for the misunderstanding, McMurphy.

Thanks for the compliments on my writing. The board I normally post on, a private Nole board, would laugh. When someone types something filled with typos it is commonly referred to as "pulled a bret."
I made the post in your link in an effort to defend LSU, not attack them. I linked an article that said that LSU wanted the game cancelled. That conclusion made not sense to me. I posted it here to see what LSU fans would say. I live in Florida. I am surrounded by Gator fans. They are telling me that Foley did everything he could to play the game, but LSU wouldn't work with him. I don't believe that. I believe that UF used the hurricane to delay the game and move it from last weekend to a later point in the season.
Just trying to have a reasonable conversation with folks with whom I share a common enemy, UF.
