Forget Aranda, Mike and bob stoops, fickell, Brian Kelly, Saban, Dabo, rhule, urban, etc….
I mean, if it’s not one of the above, who the hell could it be?
I have no idea.

I threw Pat Narduzzi's name out there earlier.

This would be a very interesting pic and would mostly fit Woodward's model

If we get to a certain level on the list, it might be better to look at the top P5 coordinators. If you look at playoff and title success, too coordinator promotions have been a pretty good path over the last 20 years. Definitely better than G5 promotions.
The guy seen as the most likely to be next up for a head coaching job is Mike Elko. That would typically be a high G5 or low to mid P5 gig, but this is what it is. He’s seen as a great recruiter and he’s obviously done a terrific job totally rebuilding that defense. He has a spectacular rep among other coaches. If you get down to Stoops and BOB, I would give him a very serious look first.
As for a P5 guy who doesn’t have traction today, Jeff Haffley is seen by many as a real up and comer. Great scheme guy, but I’m not sure this is the right gig for him. Several would have to say no first.

I really have the feeling it's gonna be someones coordinator...and it's not going to go over well with the base.

He’s a good coach. Not a sexy name, but a good coach.
