I actually think they'll get there with Manziel

Bama and LSU will out recruit you no matter what as long as Miles and Saban are there

Most likely, but A&M can recruit a comparable caliber of athlete. Arkansas was never going to field a defense good enough to compete for conference titles. Bama always ran the ball down their throats.

Is that why we were 2-2 against Miles with Petrino?

I'll give you Bama, but we really should've beaten them (I know it's stupid to say that) in 2010. fricking Mallett

Alabama might be small but in terms of population but in terms of talent it's deep there. Plus Atlanta is close to Aubbie.

Best talent pool in Tennessee is Memphis and that's closer to ole piiss.
While all of that is true, There isn't really a big time 2nd school in Tennessee. There are 2 top programs in Alabama.

There also is no excuse to lose to Ole Miss in recruiting barring strange circumstances. Auburn isn't going to beat UGA a disproportionate amount of the time for Atlanta recruits. Georgia Tech is right there too and they could pick off some mid tier guys.

I just looked at Tennessee state recruiting for this year, and you guys don't have any of your own state top 6 recruits and only 3 of the state top 10. If you can fix that problem, you should be mostly ok, and just need to go out of state to pick up some big names or some odds and ends.

yeah we lost by a whole 4 points in 2010, led going into the 4th quarter. Can't compete.

I don't. Manziel will never be better than he is this year. He might be as good as he is this year but not better. He has had his year and it will be more difficult in the future.

I guess every A&M poster who registers from on out is a "bandwagon" fan.

If my aunt had nuts...

Auburn proved all you need is a slightly above average defense. Petrino never had that.
