I saw an interview w Arthur blank where reporter asked him questions about the Petrino debacle. Blank stated that Petrino felt it would be best to give them a letter rather than telling them in person. Blank than stated he would like to move to another subject like it disgusted him.

Top ten coach, maybe. But not a leader of young men. It will never totally workout w that guy. He may be able to scheme with the best of them but his players we'll never lay down for him cause they'll sense who he really is.

Lying to your AD is unforgivable. I bet Jeff Long was speechless after finding out a grown man lied to his face. Makes me sick to think about. I understand affairs happen. Not owning up to it is unbelievable.

You can change the AD, you can't move the campus.

Tenn, Aub, and Ark are all close as hell as attractiveness.

From all accounts Arkansas' admins are great to work for and do what ever is asked by the coach as far as facilities and anything else except allow lying and hiring a mistress the down side is our fans are fricking nuts and that is documented.

Aub just from an outsiders view sounds like boosters would be a problem.

Tenn... Thats all I got don't know much about the admin or boosters but expectations would be lower than both Aub and Arkansas it seems to me.

You'd take Auburn over Fayetteville?

Tennessee with Auburn not too far behind.Auburn could really be something with the right Coach, but I don't think the "Powers that be" down there will ever give total control to a Coach. If they did they'd be dangerous.jmho

I would probably reverse these two, simply because there is more home grown talent in the state of Alabama than Tennessee, but it would be fairly close. Arkansas finishes a close third, and as usual UK brings up the rear...

So down south, after Georgia, Florida, and Louisiana, who has the most talent? Alabama has some good players every year, but you have to compete with Bama to get them, and there aren't as many I feel like.

I guess my question is between Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Alabama, who has the most good players left after other teams get their "fill." I have to think it's either Tenn or Arky

Auburn simply by virtue of the geographic proximity to better recruits.

Auburn pretty much splts in state recruits with Bama, some years bama gets more, some years Auburn gets more. But Auburn also has a very large recruiting base in GA and FL

I think they are all best for a different kind of coach (except UK as its a stepping stone).

Tenn is best for an ace national recruiter. They give you the budget and the facilities, you just have to deliver and then beat on a weaker SEC East.

Ark is best if you have deep Texas HS ties and an offensive background. They play in Dallas each year and are close to the metroplex. There is not enough defensive talent to go around in Texas but more than enough offensive talent for Ark to thrive with someone good at development on that side of the ball (hence why Briles there terrifies me).

Aub is best if you are a lazy recruiter but big on tactics. With Bama going national on recruiting it is the easiest one to get talent out of the three, but you have to outwit Saban every few years to keep your job.
