Which program will be smart enough to snag Bill Clark?

Dude has UAB bowl eligible when they haven't even had a program for a couple of years.

All he's ever done is win at every level he's been at.

Dude can flat out coach.

if I were Arky or Moo State (assuming Mullen leaves) he would be at the top of my list.

I was hoping USM would have hired him 2 years ago. He is a hell of a coach.

Clark is prob not ready for SEC HC job. He needs another stepping stone for that, but those two options would be interesting.

He just signed a 5 year extension with UAB. Will probably stay there a few more years.

Reminder:

A school that didn't even have a team last year is now 7-3.

The man can flat out coach.

AD's don't want to win games. They want to win press conferences and then sell a bunch of shite in its wake. Then rinse and repeat every 4-5 years.

The name of the game isn't winning, it's creating the illusion of winning to make cash

While they didn't play a schedule last season, they did have a coach and a team...,and a few advantages going into this season. See what happens in 18 and 19 before judging

Consider that Clark one more games his first year here than his predecessor did in his entire two year tenure.

But, we're keeping him. Thanks for your interest, though.

Fair point.

However, I've followed Clark for over ten years. The dude has won everywhere he's ever been. Won BIG.

Clark is a good coach, but I encourage everyone to look at the waivers the NCAA granted. Something like 65 or so of their scholarships are upperclassmen transfers this year.

Mullen isn't going anywhere, but if he did, I would love for us to hire Clark.

You're still assembling a team and systems in a single off-season. I can't imagine how daunting a task that is, much less to do it and win.

It's a bit different at the G5 level. It's still impressive, no doubt, just be sure to keep it in perspective.

Again, he took over a dumpster fire of biblical proportions and had them bowl eligible his first year.

But, it's a moot point, he's not going anywhere until turning us into the Boisie State of the south.

Barry Odom ring a bell? He was one of the most unqualified for a Head coach in the SEC but MIZZOU took a gamble and it seems to be paying off big time!
