When will Tubbs move on?

Finished 9-4. Not bad. Has Gunner Kiel for the next three years. If he has 11 or 12 wins next year, does he move then, or do you see him waiting another year? With Texas' talent he could do in the Big 12 what he couldn't at Texas Tech.

He could be happy there. Cinci was not an upgrade from TT. He knew he wouldn't win championships at Cinci but went anyway. He could have bided his time at TT until another SEC gig opened. So I guess that means he was either really unhappy at TT and planned to bide his time at Cinci,or he's actally happy there. I'd give the nod to the latter since his wife is from the area.

I don't think he has so many options. I was a big fan of his with Auburn. Even though it was time to let him go, I was still grateful.
But let's face it. Texas Tech got worse when he was there, not better. Obviously, he was trying to play a new system with the wrong players, but that's just a fact. He hasn't made Cincy better than they were. He's looked like an arse over how he left Lubbock and some stuff at Cincy. And he's older.

I don't think Tubs really cares about being in the spotlight anymore. He can win 9-10 games every year at Cincinnati in that terrible conference, collect a nice paycheck, and never have any pressure on him. That's perfect for him I think.

Agree on the pressure thing, but man, Tubbs was a really good coach for a nice stretch at Auburn and the games against Auburn for LSU every year were incredible nail-biters. Hate to see that talent wasted on a middling school.

That talent he used to have is long gone. He doesn't have the fire or the drive anymore, hasn't since he left AU. Or maybe even for a year or two before he did leave AU.

If UF gets rid of Muschamp next year. I would be all for Tubbs coming on board.

Gunner Kiel has the chest to lead Tuberville and the Bearcats to the promised land. Tuberville is not going anywhere anytime soon.

Lateral move. Less pressure from unrealistic fans at Cincy. Probably has a better chance at Cinci to win a championship than at Texas Tech, slim as it may be.
