Denbrock doesn’t really line up with what Cincy has hired in the past.

It's kind of a funny joke, but Cincy is about to be in the Big 12. They need to step it up big time. This is a crucial hire for them.

They need to make Urban Meyer tell them no first. he's a UC alum.

Then Tom Herman makes the most sense. He's an experienced Big 12 coach and he previously coached at Ohio State, so he knows the area.

I doubt Denbrock would even be a candidate at Cincinnati. The bigger threat...if there is a threat at all...would be him rejoining Fickell's staff at Wisconsin. Of course, now that Fickell has a bigger purse at a bigger program I doubt he feels he has to settle for a 58 year old middle of the pack OC

Try to lure Gary Patterson out of his gig as Sark's assistant if Herman says "No" then find a couple of assistants with Ohio and midwest ties.

Wasn’t Rees his first choice and was turned down?

That has been reported in the past.

Tommy Rees will probably be fired in the offseason, so I would not be surprised to see Kelly hire him as an analyst or some other role.

More like Matt House would be the correct one.

A Pyrrhic victory to say the least. I actually think Kelly really likes Sloan. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s our next OC. Not just meaning if somebody else hires Denbrock (they won’t), but like he might promote Sloan to keep from losing him to an OC gig. Whether that’s making them co-OC’s or even firing Denbrock (or “helping” him find another OC job). I don’t feel like Denbrock was ever the long-term plan anyway.
