He is the Gundy of yesterday. A few lengthy discussions and the word spreads across the fan-base as everyone claims they have sources. In the end it's just fans grasping for any answers and buying into the flavor of the day.

I heard that we realized that we made a mistake and we are bringing Miles back. Basically, it voids his old contract and we can pay him less. I can't reveal my sources, but they are extremely high up. You will hear lots of other names till next week, but this will be announced then. Don't be surprised if LSU sends out a smokescreen and pretends to higher another coach.

The wind changed directions and the schizophrenia of fans has them try to change their opinions/hopes/wants to be in line with what they view is a possible coach so they can ultimately feel like "this was who we wanted all along, we can pull the big name coach, and our job is what we thought/hoped it was".
Bottom line, LSU is without doubt a top 10 job in the country. Depending on the coach, some may have it as a top 5 (or even the best) in the country. All that said, if Texas doesn't F it up, they're getting Herman. If LSU doesn't F it up, you're likely to get Jimbo.
