Something is up. I’m not for one way or the other. It may be because they are scared of the backlash. I don’t know. One thing O has been while he has been here is quick when dealing with his staff. This just has a strange feel to it. To me it really has the “feel” of them waiting on someone that is still coaching. No sources or anything. Just an observer of sports and lover of LSU and I’m sitting here scratching my head. Anyone else feel this way.

They're just waiting until end of work Friday man. This was the plan all along. Leak it during the natty, official release Friday after work. They likely see this as the path of least resistance

They're waiting us into submission. I'm already having idiotic thoughts that it might not be that bad. I'm so fricking stupid.

This will have little to absolutely zero effect on the fans reaction to this hire. I sincerely hope they're not THAT dumb to think otherwise.

Well, they were dumb enough to approve Ensminger to OC so...

I think they are waiting to announce all changes at once. Will be another defensive also. Try to cover up the crap with something positive.

They realized they don't have to anounce anything. When next season starts it's going to be the same guys on the sideline making the same decisions no matter what their title is.

Announcing it then will not minimize the outrage one bit. In fact, it might make it worse. We'll have all weekend to stew over it and get even more angry.

I think the thought process was more along the lines of "If we release this friday at 5pm, then no major newspaper headlines, no PTI or Around the Horn shite talking us" etc.

Will it help? No. I'm sure they expected a negative response, but I doubt they realized how bad the backlash would be.

Odds for TD site crashing Friday PM after announcement? I'm calling this even money.

If its true that they are holding out to stem fan backlash, that means that they are aware of how unpopular this is. If they're aware of this, and they're still going through with it, what does that say about the admin and their opinion of the fans?

My thoughts exactly. This just does not seem normal. We will see I guess. ????

Don't say that man. You're trying to be optimistic in a time where we shouldn't be, and I commend you for it. Very very very dark days are ahead for us.

Maybe the decision hasn't been made yet.

I think they may have finally realized that there is no need to rush a hire.

I agree that no decision has been made! Now news that TM was contacted proves that. Fact of the mater is 99.99999% of people who post on this site have no clue what’s going on. Just panic for no reason!

I’m getting the same feeling. Not like O or LSU to leak information like this and let it linger. I think the Ensminger thing isn’t happening.
