so how long for the deep run? O said he expected to compete for championships quickly when he was hired.

You can lower your expectations like a little excuse-making bitch all you want, but you don’t get to tell us we should.

The last time Saban won ONLY 10 games was 2010. Two thousand fricking ten! Hes been 13-1 or 14-1 three consecutive years.

So don’t act like expecting 10-2 or better is expecting Saban results.

If you’re happy with 8-9, fine. Don’t fricking argue that we should accept it.

Coach Ogerion and Ensminger would need to begin winning the SEC championship for me to believe they are worth keeping.

I am one of those LSU grads that did not want Ed Ogerion as a head coach to begin with!!! I thought LSU could have done much better in their head coach selection. Ogerion promised to hire the best OC in the country, but his coaching style did not agree with Matt Canada's style, and now he is settling for Steve Ensminger as the OC, who was last a full time OC in 1998 when his offense was ranked 93rd. Come on, is this the best LSU can do? It is my opinion that this is all a transition phase as a result of poor head coach hiring by Joe Alleva. Eventually LSU will realize Ed Ogerion cannot deliver on his promises, and they replace him, but not before spending millions of dollars on all the buyouts.

I saw him potentially having a lot of 8-9 win seasons, and busting through a year or 2 for a deep run. He’s not and will never be Nick Saban or a coach that gets you 10-11 wins a year.

Wow. You don't even see him reaching the level of Miles, who had 7 ten win seasons. That's crazy to me.

You can expect whatever you want, but the reality of the situation is that the team as currently constructed with the coaching staff we have are unlikely to win 10 games next year, especially given the schedule.

Yet you lash out like a scalded cat whenever people point out that firing Les to hire O was asinine at the very best. Pathetic.

Quitting and never stepping foot in this state again. They ought to be dead to every single realistic LSU fan out there.

Obviously not referring to Ensminger here. None of this is his fault of course.

Need to win the SEC to win my support at this point. I won't say "just" beat Bama, because a win in an 8 win season doesn't do it.
Heck, winning the West but losing in Atlanta doesn't do it, either.

Realistic is actual coaching search. Hold LSU to same standard.

If you hold fans to a higher standard than LSU you have a problem.

0 can never win me back because he never "had" me and never will. I will always respect Ensminger because he actually loves LSU and I think was pressured into taking the OC job.

There’s that quasi “10 win” measure of success again.

It's not O/Ensminger, it's LSU itself.

What coach wouldn't take a job that paid millions of dollars?

LSU's Athletic Department is failing to meet expectations for the football program.

You do get what you pay for. Aranda is worth every fricking penny. The HC and future OC, not so much.

If the money is there, use it to hire a proven winner. Don't piss away the fans support trying to con them with hiring a re-tread when they pay for the best.

Win 10 games with that schedule next year and I’ll be sold.

Nothing they can’t they simply aren’t capable, but it would take a SEC title.

Move to another state. Seek careers in another field. Something along those lines.
