Compensation excluded.

I'm talking about facilities, athletic-academic center, indoor practice facility, sim rooms, trainers, a fricking live tiger. The stuff the big programs have in the SEC, almost NFL-like.

Does ND have that stuff?

LSU is a top-tier program.

You want an OC / DC candidate that costs $2M per season? Cool.

Need new facilities? Cool.

Any resource required is at your disposal.

No snow and academic requirements aren’t as strict.

There's some tradition of the head coach getting prima nocte rights with the governor's wife.

A talent rich state with no in-state competition, long existing pipelines into Texas and Florida, fewer academic restrictions, probably a willingness to spend more money on analysts and other supporting staff, better food.

To answer your question, no. ND does not invest even a FRACTION of what LSU does into football. His salary is $2.6M at ND which is comically low.

Edit- $2.6M number probably off because ND is private— my point is still valid

Players don’t need to be good at reading and arithmetic.

Better food was the first thing that came to my mind.
That, and the SEC.

The state that consistently produces among the most NFL players per capita in America. Indiana ain’t even close.
