What part of that analysis was delusional. The part where Miles consistently had top 5 talent (NFL rosters seems to bear that out) or the part where he consistently lost 2-3 games a year with that top 5 talent.

I'm dying to know which part is delusional. Plain and simple, he under utilized the talent he had. Not taking away his ability to get the talent (he did a good job recruiting - we had the facilities and he used them well to draw in talent), simply his ability to use it.

Appears he is playing footsie with teams like UT to let LSU think they're going to be off the hook for his outrageous buyout.

I see him around Baton Rouge and he looks relaxed; not a care in the world.
Hope he doesn't inadvertently wonder north of Florida Blvd or Government Street.

He wont be so relaxed and not have a care in the world if he does.

Stay south Les, stay south........

And those checks (about 650K after taxes, and agent fees) stop coming in 4 years. Then what? At almost 70, no one will hire him

Whether you accept it or not, the man is prideful and wants to coach again.

But no one is buying his bullshite, like Alleva did

He has a TV gig that doesn't cut into his coaching salary he is getting from LSU....

He is currently making over a million per year until 2022 to work zero hours per year. Since he does have at least show interest, let’s say he works 1 hour per week.

A coaching job would negate his current deal and require him to work 60 hour weeks at 3-4 million per year at an SEC school. But only 1-2 million at a lessor school.

Which one is the better deal?

At least his buyout wasn't $12 million.

Actually, Les was a drag on the LSU program and I'm glad he's gone. The fact that he is a nice guy doesn't have anything to do with anything.

Moreover, everybody knows it and that's why no one will give him another head coaching job.

Interviewer: “Hi coach, we just invited you to interview so we could make it look like a bunch of candidates are interested in the job. We weren’t ever planning to offer you the job. It helps with the negotiation process later.”

Miles: “Awww, Man! again?”

I tend to agree. I honestly think he has some health issues and is better off not pursuing such a stressful job at his age.

I think there is something to this. I always thought it was odd the he was rushed to the Hospital in his last full year at LSU because of "drinking too much coffee." He seemed a lot more docile afterwards. I do think the biggest reason is that no AD is in any hurry to hire a 65 year old coach. All the recent hires seem to be in the same age range.
