I don't dissagree. I think Jimbo may be able to get us better QB play, but I'm not sure he is what a lot of LSU fans think he is.

He's probably 4th or 5th on the list of coaches I'd like to get.

Jimbo would be a home run hire and anyone that doesn't think so should have their head examined.

Chicken, can you see who downvotes your posts?

(Jimbo is one of a handful of homerun hires.)

the #1 ranked recruiting class?

Yes. I'm not saying he's a major recruiting upgrade or that recruiting has been our issue; I'm saying he can maintain the crazy good recruiting in a fertile state AND develop QBs and manage a good offense and defense

This is logical.

LSU is one of the best jobs in CFB. Why make Jimbo your #1 option?

Jimbo would be a rockstar hire...what are these guuys thinking?

The only coaches i would take over him are Saban (lol) and mayyyyybe Chip Kelly.

This is like the people that say "outside of those two 60+ yards run touchdowns, he was mostly kept in check" about a RB.

LSU's main problem is QB. How much better would you be with the equivalent of Christian Ponder, EJ Manuel, or Austin Golson??? Even Sean Maguire

Dude

Jamarcus, Manuel, ponder and Winston all 1st round draft picks under Fisher

He also went, what, 12-2 with Manuel?

This thread is embarrassing

He's not leaving FSU. He'll use any offer to get a bump in pay, but that is about it. LSU fans would not put up with him for very long anyway. He was not favored as OC here.

He's one of the better coaches. FSU is also very committed to him. A lot of people have forgotten that he has a special needs child and that by itself might be enough for him to elect to stay.

If the board hasn't already gotten their man and made the public statements they have then it's time to reevaluate the evaluators. Because if you're going to fire a really good coach just to make a change. It better be for a slam dunk. Jmo

Something no one has talked about. I'm sure he has split custody with his ex, and I know he spends a lot of time with his kids. His ex and kids would also have to move to BR.

He would have accomplished nothing if he hadn't had Winston. The dude is Bobby Bowden II. He is in a shite conference and still can't dominate. He would get his arse waxed in the SEC on a regular basis. Jimbo is no idiot, he will stay where he is and stay in the ACC with hopes of making the playoffs.

Also, look at what goes on at his school with his athletes. Winston is a piece of shite that MIles would have kicked off the football team.

Saban has only won the SEC west half of the time he has been here. Steam rolling year after year is an unreal expectation
