In the ACC. How do you think Ponder and Manuel would have performed against Bama's defense or even LSU's

Well i believe every QB he had while OC at LSU made all SEC team except for 1, so i think they would do pretty damn good

If we're being honest, without Jameis Winston, Jimbo is likely fired from FSU.

Jameis just magically arrived on campus and won us a title.

miles got off to an easier start b/c he was handed a program stocked with saban-quality talent and he was forced to keep a jimbo-quality coach

jimbo had neither advantage at FSU

You people kill me. You won't to say the only success Jimbo has had is with Winston. So what? At least he identified an elite talent, recruited him and developed him. When have we done that? It's like saying the only reason Colts were any good is because they had Payton Manning, or the Saints with Drew Breez or New England with Tom Brady. What sustained success did the Patriots ever have before Tom Brady?

Do you think Winston is the only QB that Jimbo would ever be able to recruit and develop? What if he were to come to LSU and actually developed Brandon Harris? Or what if he came in here and identified Harris could not run the offense he wants to install and goes out and gets a quarterback that can. What a novel freaking idea.

We have a headcoach who recruits spread dual threat quarterbacks to run his I formation power run at all costs offense with an offensive coordinator who has not to my knowledge ever developed a dual threat quarterback and certainly not developed a dual threat quarterback for a pro style offense. Maybe Franks would be that guy, I don't know.

But to indict Jimbo because his national championship was won with an elite quarterback is insane.

Jimbo had the advantage of taking of a dying program that did just about everything like we were still playing in the 90s. Nutrition, etc. Even if he lost the title game, what he has done at FSU is incredible. Some of you forget how bad of shape FSU's program was in

But I do find it funny that LSU fans are now dickriding Jimbo after wanting him gone and hoping he would fail at FSU

Bowden's resume looked ever more impressive when looking at it over the course of his entire career, but he wasn't going to have FSU in a position to win another NC ever again. .

The highest # of draft picks in any three year period won us a title. FSU was fricking stacked when we played you in the title game. You saw what happened to Jameis the next year when a lot of those players left for the NFL

He made Jamarcus Russel, Christian Ponder, and EJ Manuel look like 1st rounders.

I was giddy when we hired Jimbo. Top recruiter, worked under Saban, won a title, and could develop QBs. That alone makes you invaluable. Imagine if some of the stacked LSU teams from a few years ago had a Jimbo coached QB

And a much less talented Auburn team was 13 seconds away from pulling off the win

Jimbo will get hired at LSU with the main objective of regularly beating Saban. Do any of you realistically see that happening? Again, not saying keep Miles but is Jimbo really the answer for the LSU job?

During a winning season LSU fans are angry and hostile. They're going to immediately expect the moon from Jimbo and it will get ugly if he doesn't deliver

It's football, brah. The better team doesn't always win. If that game is played in a vacuum, FSU wins ~80% of the time.

I don't think Jimbo will leave. And I don't think Miles is done this year either. But assuming those two things happen, if Jimbo can develop a QB at LSU, he'll make LSU more competitive against Alabama. I don't think he'll ever regularly beat Saban, though.

He is, almost the entire fan base has moved on and is expecting a new HC.

I think he is done.
