i don't know about the crying for herman part but we can still think that our coach is mediocre AT BEST. it's a logical stance.

Their fanbase acted just like this when they wanted Fulmer fired. I lived in Chattanooga at the time. Damn do I remember the phone calls to the radio shows.

man....you guys still just don't get it, do you?
Most are angry because our AD threw a hissy fit instead of negotiating with Herman and immediately rushed to hire the guy who had no business even being up for the job.
could it have been a losing battle getting into a bidding war with UT? Probably but you still take a big swing. Then if it fails, you regroup and open the process back up. O wasn't going anywhere, you did not have to rush that decision.

They rallied back to 10 win seasons in 03 & 04 but their last 10 win season was in 2007.

Look what spending 6+ million on a coach trying to beat Saban has done to the rest of the SEC. Its created a vacuum and put these other places into a tail spin. Coach O can get it back through recruiting and making good hires.

And that was right after Katrina. I lost everything, my family lost everything, my friends lost everything and then Les fricking Miles goes and blows a 21 point lead at half. I wanted to go jump in the river.

recruiting is mediocre, he hired an OC that he disagrees with philosophically but didn't know it, he hired a bad WR coach to appease some NOLA coaches, his future STs coach is also a known clown. The best coaches on this staff were hired by Miles
so if that's what we're depending on well then we aren't off to a good start
