Stoops? Petrino? Mullen?

No way Muschamp was #1 on the list.

No. Not #1, but Muschamp is/was on everyone's list. He'll do well.

I hope is executive skills are better than his coaching skills. I was never sold on his defenses at Texas.

Had some great athletes and I was never convinced his defensive coaching lived up to the hype.

It's going to be tough to succeed Meyer.

Why would anyone turn down UF?

One of the top five jobs in the country. Too much pressure?

i'm more than sure mullen was higher on their list than a DC from UT. and if pressure/expectations is driving people away then he would know more about that than anyone else.

I'm not doubting the offer, just confused as to why he wouldn't take it

One of the media reports said that WM was the only coach who was interviewed.

Which means, of course, that he wasn't the first choice, but after inquiries were made to various coaches, Muschamp was the only one whose interest was sufficient to allow the process to get to the interview phase.

Sounds very much like "undefeated in regulation" or Clinton's "I have never broken the laws of my country" (smoked weed in England, not US)

This is what positigers try to explain to the people who hate Les but they never listen.....Muschamp may be a great HC but there is no way of knowing that.....People hoping that Les leaves are ignorant....

Foley also reached out to Petersen and Harbaugh, but to no avail.
