I think 14 years coaching experience and currently on the staff of the #1 defense statically in the NFL is worth looking into bringing him back home.

What do y’all think?

Might work out, but I wouldn't be impressed with the hire tbh. I just feel like there's still plenty of other candidates out there to get ahead of Dunbar.

Per Mike D Coach O is going to allow his DC to fill out the rest of the defensive staff

good to know our new DC will have a proverbial buffet of options, given the presented timeframes

Karl is an outstanding DL coach from the Pete Jenkins coaching family. He is also a very high character individual. Would be a great hire.

Skin condition won't let him coach in the heat of Louisiana, unless it's while on bama's staff.

Why do so many people talk about Lac. I mean I know he played here and has been a GA the last couple seasons, but what beyond that makes folks think he’s ready?

he's supposedly a hit with recruits which is probably the primary job for a DL coach (just like RB coach)

It's been said many times that Dunbar has no desire to leave the NFL...

Doesn't mean he's bad at it when he's committed to it. He actually has a history of doing good recruiting wise but yeah, he also seems to be bad at it mostly because as you said he hates it. Lack of commitment is why he struggled at Bama but he definitely could recruit when he wanted to. That's why he has been in the NFL. I know Miles made a run at him and he basically said no thanks. Don't see him coming back to the college ranks.

Best DL coach , technique wise Saban has had at Bama ..... terrible recruiter . That’s why I think he only stayed a year or so
