Doubt the coach being kicked out of the building knows jack shite about what Woodward’s doing. Just another case of O spewing garbage over a mic.

If you think Woodward told O he hired someone, or told O anything at all, you’re an idiot.
I guess the concept is, he let O hang around as lame-duck coach, but once the other guy signs O has to go. HAS to go. Dunno.
I suppose it could be courtesy of Woodward to let O know why he had to clean out his office at that moment.
I can't really understand what O says, did he say he actually wished the guy luck (the new coach), or did he wish the players luck?

I would imagine O was just stating the obvious. Even O’s goofy arse knows we won’t play next year without naming a coach and that they have to eventually hire someone.
