Ironic that you're making an argument against the very thing you're doing, if you're rooting against your own team.
Losing is never beneficial in a sport where the only thing that matters is winning. You never know when one loss results in one lost recruit who's at the game who might be the player that would make a play to win vs Bama in 2017 or 2018 or 2019.
