Vol did not say we were hiring Mark Stoops

Cmon guys, read closer. All he said is that we reached out.
Now, is that pretty disappointing? Yeah. It is. But the fact that we went bust on Jimbo and Riley isn’t that surprising. They’re both at strong programs and in good positions. We should probably start to discuss the “mid-range” coaches because they’re who we’re likely ending up with.
Napier and Aranda are solid candidates in my mind. Someone like O’Brien or Stoops is too weak for a program like LSU so I hope it doesn’t come to that.

No one has said yet that Riley has told us no.
Vol’s post was dumb, Mark Stoops is not the next guy on the list.

"Reaching out" could've also been months ago.
They could've "reached out" to a lot of coaches.

What is Mark Stoops buyout?
All I can find is almost 20M. Would LSU pay that plus 17M to Coach O? Makes no sense.

That’s exactly what I thought too, I’m pretty sure Woodward reached out to a lot of Coaches.
