My brethren of Troy, I come to you after enjoying the glory of this past weekend, ready to put the one thing that has gone right this whole year in the past and look ahead to what should be a very interesting month for yall

Is USC waiting to figure out what they are doing with their president before making a decision on Helton? Is Swann's job on the line? If Helton is let go what are some options? Del Rio has been linked early, would that work for yall?

i know there are some people who think there is too much turmoil with the university right now that helton may get another year just because the football coach is too far down the list of shite they got to figure out

Now, or down the road if he makes the wrong choice?

Helton getting the permanent job was a Haden decision, so I'd imagine Swann will be able to do as he pleases.

I think another factor that makes the situation very tricky is the talent in that area for the 2020 recruiting class. It will be a huge recruiting class for them, potentially.

It's no sure thing that Helton is fired. There are so many other things gong on with the university, that it's possible he survives this. It's likely he's fired, but not certain yet. I would like SC to go all out for Petersen or Matt Campbell.

if he gets blown out this weekend i bet hes gone. you cant lose to us and ND in consecutive weeks in a disappointing year and expect to keep your job at USC

If they can make a move this year they should. Unless Urban leaves USC will be easily the highest profile opening. They could probably be pretty aggressive with the hire

You're correct, under normal circumstances. SC is dealing with so many lawsuits right now, the football coach is WAY down the list of importance. It's probably likely, but I'm just saying it's by no means a sure thing just yet.

Swann's job is not on the line, he didn't hire Helton. It's Pat Haden who did more damage to the football program than the sanctions ever could.

If Harbaugh leaves the Ravens, that would be a good hire for USC, assuming he would go to college.

I can't tell that Swann has done much of anything positively or negatively. Has pretty much been quiet and not done a whole lot in any major sport.

I want Aranda personally, but anyone not part of the USC family is fine with me.

I don't think Petersen leaves Washington. He could have had the USC job several years ago if he wanted it.

Campbell would be a grand slam hire for them.

Pffft why go for aranda when you can hire his boss for less?

Did you know that Pat Haden was a Rhodes Scholar?

- every college football media member remarking at the time about how Haden was the perfect man for the USC AD job

Del Rio would be a badass hire for me.... but they should’ve went ahead and got Les while he was available.
