With only 12 games on the schedule, we'd have to make some updates to that Jeff Fisher chart.

Will still be 8 win Jeff. 8-4 every year.

USC needs to get out of the whole hiring one of their own or someone associated with the Carroll run, just go get a damn good coach. I’ll never understand why some programs get so stuck on that.

Chip Kelly would laugh his arse if you guys hire Jeff

Completely agree. I still think Helton stays, but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Fisher got the job.

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports this week said that he’s heard two names about the Trojans job: Jeff Fisher and Jack Del Rio, who are both USC alums and former NFL coaches.

Herm Edwards surprise success is influencing both Colorado and potential USC hires.

Every ASU loss has been within a TD, and they have a couple of big upsets.

Other schools in the Pac12 will now at least consider a washed out NFL coach.

Herm has gone from a joke hire to the type of coach other schools in the conference will consider copying. It’s almost as if a coach with an NFL pedigree, but no recent college experience, is a safe pick with a lot of upside.

I don’t think Helton was hired because he was associated with the Carroll run.

He never coached under Pete, and was the qb/OC for sark and kiffin. Those 2 guys were obviously “Carroll guys”, but, Pete was a defensive coach, And they’re more norm chow guys than anything.

Helton got the job because Haden fricking sucks. Had nothing to do with Carroll.

Del Rio would be a good hire.

I thought he would have gotten it in 2014 instead they went with Seven Win Steve.
