Trust me on this Nebraska fans might be the worst fanbase to have as an enemy.
Their obsession with Nebraska football is unhealthy.
It would be funny, though, if Scott Frost told them no for UCF.
They will never forget and Frost would be removed from their history books.

You never saw any for Kelly to UCLA; that's a lie. Everyone expected him to get another year due to his buyout.

And if you can find someone else prior to my Tweet I posted from 2015 that predicted the Frost scenario, please post a link to it, by all means.

I will say the odds are against us - but if he does stay a few of your posts will be joining a some other tweets I have saved in a frame on my office wall.

I’ll eat my crow if he leaves, but with a smile on my face because there are plenty of other things in my life that bring me joy other than college football.

And I trust my source with direct lines to Frost's family.

I've heard your DC is already lobbying for the HC position.

I don't blame UCF fans; heck, I'd be upset too if I was a UCF fan. Bottom line is, no big name coach is going to stay at a non-Power 5 school, especially when the alternative is his home state and alma mater where he won a NC.

You aren't kidding, I live here in Omaha and have to listen to it every day. Like Frost is the next coming of Devaney or Osborne. The sad part for Husker fans is that NONE of the recruits they will get were alive the last time Nebraska won any kind of championship outside of women's bowling and volleyball. LINK

I don’t think people claimed that Frost was certainly going to UF . I think most felt like it was going to be Kelly. Now that UF and UCLA have made their hires then it’s seems like Frost will go to Nebraska . I think it’s a bad move for him .

I remember being in New Orleans when the NFL draft was going on, back when Ricky Williams was going to be drafted. Mike Ditka was the HC of the Saints of the time, and he was looking to make a splash, and they traded basically all of their picks away to move up and get Williams. And there was a 90-something year old woman there (in a wheelchair due her age and fragility), who had been a Saints fan ever since they first came in to the league, and when the Saints drafted Williams she was weeping tears of joy, she was so happy and convinced that the Saints might actually win something (at the time, they hadn't ever won a playoff game). She just sat there and wept, and was just so darn happy, and I'm not a Saints fan, but I felt happy for her.

I imagine that's how I'm going to feel when Frost is officially announced, and the fan base comes together again as one, and we actually are given the chance to climb out of this pit of despair we've been in for nearly 20 years. It's a feeling that I haven't had in quite a while, as far as Nebraska is concerned: HOPE. Frost knows how important this is to the state of Nebraska, and his loyalty is what will bring him home.

Wrong. Kelly wasn't even in the picture when the argument began. It was all Frost, and how he'd never choose Nebraska over Florida

Nebraska fans make Alabama fans seem logical and intelligent.

I remember seeing my wife walk down the aisle, holding my daughter for the first time and a handful of other memories that brought pure joy to my life that caused me to weep.

If Scott Frost coming back to Nebraska will you bring you that joy then hell, I’m pulling for you.

It’s tough. But we can’t all be children of the corn. I’ll manage.

ETA: many thanks for the Ts&Ps

Damn son! Even the media considered Mora to be on the hotseat for quite a while and had speculated that Chip Kelly would be a top target and good fit who would likely have legit interest in that job.

You're missing the big picture. In the beginning, UF fans were saying that they had Frost. I immediately came in and told them that Frost was a Nebraska lock. They argued with me and ridiculed me and told me that Frost would be crazy to pick Nebraska. Did Frost choose Florida? No. So I was right.

Then, they turned their attention to Kelly. At the time UF was the only contender for Kelly, because More was still at UCLA. When I mentioned UCLA, no one understood why and they kept asking why I was saying that. Once again the UF fans continued to argue with me, saying that Kelly would be crazy to pick UCLA over Florida. Did Kelly choose Florida? No, he chose UCLA. So I was right.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about:

When speculation began about who Florida's next coach might be, I said Charlie Strong. So on that one, yes, I was wrong. However, you're only looking at the details and missing the big picture.

This weekend we'll find out if I'm right about Frost.
